9 Anime to Look Forward to in 2016
Happy new year everyone! We're starting our second week of the year, and I'm starting it sick *sniffs* That being said, one sick day means one more day of anime... Am I right? Well, not that I'm hoping you'll fall sick just to watch anime this year, but here are 9 anime to look forward to in 2016!JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable
Ever since the first part kicked off, JJBA has been on a roll! The next part of the franchise features Josuke (and his fabulous hair)! Although the manga is older than I am, the plot is definitely right up my alley! Not just dealing with stand users, Josuke and friends are also searching for the culprit of a series of mysterious murders. The PV looks sooooo good. I can't wait!
Gyakuten Saiban
D. Gray Man
I want to live. Even if I destroy you. |
Ajin
We don't always get immortal protagonists, despite the market being swamped with unbeatable ones that always seem to make a miraculous recovery in the nick of time (I'm looking at you, Kurosaki Ichigo). That Ajin would get green lit of not just an anime series but also three(!) films is a sign of its popularity.
My Hero Academia
While it's on my to-read list, I haven't actually checked the manga out yet. Relatively new (the manga started in July 2014), I have heard quite a lot of good things about it already. After One Punch Man kicked off superhero-mania all over again last year, who knows, this could be the next big thing!
Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2
For such a popular series, they really kept fans waiting! Then again, when you think about the eight long years we have waited for D. Gray Man... Three years isn't that bad.
Durarara!!x2 Ketsu
I guess it's no surprise DRRR would appear on this list since I frequently feature it in the lists I not-so-frequently write! I'm a huge fan, if you can tell, simply hooked to the spiderweb-like plot. The final series in Durarara!!x2, I expect a substantial wait before any sequel is announced, if any!
Bungou Stray Dogs
Start with characters are based on real life Japanese authors. Give them supernatural powers and have them solve grisly mysteries. This is the basic premise of Bungou Stray Dogs. Not much information has been given other than the cast, although it's almost definitely going to be a fall/winter anime (judging by the genre, which seems to hover between shonen and seinen).
Well, so these are my top 9 anime to watch out for in 2016! Here's to a good year with even better anime!
