A fluffy creature with white puffy cheek will always make a superstar in any anime. Ao is a goofy and mischievous squirrel pet in this anime titled
Akatsuki no Yona. She likes to play around and always acts in a manner beyond your expectation. I have a good laugh in every single episode ever since Ao appeared in the anime. She belongs to a character in this anime so you will not able to spot her for the first few episodes.
Just for brief introduction, this story follows the redemption of Yona, the sole princess to the kingdom of Kouka. Yona lives a carefree life of a princess in Hiryuu castle, being sheltered by her father, King II and her bodyguard and childhood friend Hak. During her 16th birthday, Yona witnesses her father being killed by her beloved cousin. Yona runs away from the castle together with Hak and both of them manage to survive in every obstacle. Together they have to find the keys (dragon warriors) to claim their land back.It sounds familiar in every other animes but I promise you that this anime is interesting and has a good humour in it.

Story aside, Ao plays a very important role in term of bonding the characters together. She is cute and always try to cheer them up when they are sad. She is very close with Yona and always stay by her side. Ao likes to eat a lot which makes her want to bite bite on everything like Yona's earring.

Ao met her owner Shin-Ah before time when the story takes places. Shin-Ah tries to cover Ao from the rain with a big leaf in the manga. She just stared at him and then suddenly started to eat the leaf! Since then, she has been with Shin-Ah living in underground riding on his shoulder. The name Ao is given to her in remembrance of Shin-Ah first family member who passed away in the anime.

Shin-Ah is one of key character who will lend his power to help Yona to get back her kingdom. He is quiet and hardly speak. He is one of the four dragon warriors who possesses the blood of blue dragon deity. Shin-Ah wears a horned skull mask over half of his face due to a culture in his village. You have to watch this awesome anime in order to discover the secret behind the mask.

One of the episodes shows Ao wearing a dress when the other characters try to disguise themselves as girls and she want to be a part of it! I think Ao is a male during that episode but with a tweet message from the creator everything has become clear that Ao is a female actually. I was shocked!
